Bookeen is a French company that was created in 2003 by Laurent Picard and Michaël Dahan. These two gentlemen were veterans in the eBook business after participating to the design of the first Cybook and its associated services for Cytale as early as 1998.

During these years, Bookeen has gathered a unique experience in the eBook market with the sale of the first multi-format eBook reader directly targeted to the core eBook community.
