Fujitsu presented the prototype of a 4'096 color e-paper during the CEATEC JAPAN 2006 exhibition. The device may be used as an e-book reader (though its resolution is quite low) or as a POS advertisement unit.

- Fujitsu plans to commercialize the prototype within two years
