AU Optronics Corporation from Taiwan is a new player in the eBook Reader market. They have a relationship with SiPix.

AUO manufactures the current line of E-paper screens using the SiPix technology. As of early 2010 these included a 6" (600x800) and 9" (768x1024) display that has a glass substrate. This likely related to the capacitive touch screen. They are promising a plastic substrate later in 2010.

Other products from the company include TFT-LCD modules (1.5" - 65"), LTPS modules (1.5" - 6.5"), TV Total Solutions (19"-52"). They have been in business since 1996.
