Digital Light Processing is a display device based on optical micro-electro-mechanical technology that uses a digital micromirror device. These are projection devices.

[edit] Overview

The DLP device could be a full projector sending the final image to a screen or it could be self contained as in a TV. It is even possible to have very small devices such as cell phones. The mirrors themselves are manipulated to produce pixels on the screen.
