Kobo HowTo: Install a plugin

Other Kobo users have created over time many plugins that adds programs and functionalities to your Kobo device. You can find a lot of them here.

How to install a plugin

Usually, plugins are provided as a zip file. Inside this zip there's a file named KoboRoot.tgz. You have to:

1. Connect your Kobo to a PC
2. Go to the directory .kobo of your reader
3. Copy here the KoboRoot.tgz file
4. Safely remove the reader from your operating system
5. Unplug the device
6. Wait for a moment. After some seconds Kobo should restart itself
7. Enjoy!
