MobileRead Package Installer

MobileRead Package Installer (MRPI) is a KUAL extension, that plugs into the Helper menu it will create a single Install MR Packages button. It will install packages placed within the mrpackages folder in the root directory. This provides an alternate to the good old Update Your Kindle UI to install the various packages offered on MR in the form of update packages (.bin). It supports the full range of devices able to run KUAL (... but can be run outside of KUAL if need be ).

Installation

This is a KUAL extension, unpack the MRPI package from the Snapshots thread to the root directory of your Kindle via USB. You should end up with an extensions folder (with an MRInstaller subfolder) and an mrpackages folder at the USB root of your device.

Usage

place update packages you need into the mrpackages root directory, over USB . Eject & unplug your Kindle, then click the Install MR Packages button in the KUAL Helper menu. After the installer has done its job, and the UI has been brought up again, while your device should be usable straight away, some hacks may need a full restart to 'take' .

For K5 users using Jailbreak / Hotfix over version 1.11.N it should come with MKK bundled automatically. Just make sure to reboot your device after a fresh JB install! Note that this only applies to the K5 JB! If you're using an older device, you will need to install MKK manually
