On the removing DRM section, it would be nice if there was a link provided to somewhere that people could find out if removing DRM is legal in their country (as of now, the section says that they it may be illegal in the country you live in, but gives no details as to which countries restrict DRM-stripping). -Unregistered User (76.110.9.0)
Unfortunately there is not a simple answer to this question. In some cases a country distinguishes as to the purpose of removing DRM and some do not. In addition there are conflicting laws that may or may not be applicable in a particular situation. For example the doctrine of fair use in the US is contradicted with the DMCA law. The wiki cannot provide legal advice. I know of no place where this is fully spelled out. --DaleDe 23:24, 3 February 2010 (UTC)
