Talk:Kindle 2 Screen Saver Hack

Help! I used the .03 hack to change my screensavers. I just removed the hack to try to update my kindle (from v 2.0.3 to v 2.5.7. My kindle will "update" when I add the remove file, but when I add the update to 2.5.7, my kindle does not acknowledge that there is an update available. I restored to factory settings, and all that did was remove my books :-(. How can I restore my kindle software to a version that will let me update? I installed the .04 screensaver hack update and removed it, and that didn't help things. Can I update to an intermediate version of the kindle software that will allow the 2.5.7 update? I can't seem to find any intermediates.
