WordPerfect

Word Perfect is a suite of Business oriented products that compete with Microsoft Office files. The WordPerfect files have a WPD extension.

Overview

WordPerfect office by Corel provides, easy document creation, built-in PDF forms, flexible eBook publishing, and extensive compatibility, including Microsoft Office. Corel also makes a program called PDF Fusion that is a full PDF editor. WordPerfect runs on Windows only. They also have an Android app that can read WordPerfect files. WordPerfect can be purchased as a Home/Student edition, standard edition, and a professional edition. A trial version is available. The current version is X8 (18).

Features

• WordPerfect can save multiple file formats with one save command. WPD, DOC, DOCX, PDF, and HTML5.
• WordPerfect is a WYSIWYG editor but it also features the ability to reveal the formatting codes that you can directly edit if you wish. They are displayed as text for the user but are stored as hexadecimal in the file itself.
• WordPerfect eBook Publisher supports both MOBI and EPUB.
• WordPerfect can open a PDF file directly.
• The Professional edition supports Paradox database management system.
• Can add Bates numbering to critical files for law and medicine documents.
• A special toolbar facilitates legal documents.
• For extra security documents can be redacted and metadata can be stripped.
