In this wiki the letters PC generally stands for Personal Computer. In some other contexts it might mean politically correct.

A personal computer is a general purpose computer as apposed to a more specialized device like an eBook Reader. The term PC is often used synonymously with a personal computer running the Windows operating system and was first coined in that context. However, users that run MacOS X may also refer to their machines as PC's although most of the time they call them Macs. Linux users may refer to their hardware as a PC as it is often the same hardware that is used on Windows PCs.
