Bookeen Cybook Gold Edition
The Bookeen Cybook Gold Edition is an update to the Bookeen Cybook Gen3. It has 1GB storage space (up from 512MB), an 8 greyscale eInk screen (previously only 4), and supports ePub and PDF with Adobe ADE. The package includes the Cybook itself, a black cover, earphones, a USB cable, and a European AC adaptor (which will not be supplied to US customers). It come with 1.9/2.0 ePub firmware, but remain compatible with 1.5 Mobi firmware. The package is not currently sold outside of the European Union, and may not come to the US retailer.

Features
Fonts: The Cybook allows you to add your own TTF fonts (some OTF fonts work, but are not officially supported), and gives you a choice of 12 font sizes to use (on all files except pdf). Your chosen font size will be saved.
DRM: Currently reads Mobipocket DRM files or ePub files with Adobe DRM. Encrypted Mobipocket ebooks are available from many sources, and can be borrowed through EBook Lending Libraries. You can't have both DRM support due to legal restriction from Amazon/Mobipocket
Software
The Cybook uses the Linux operating system which is covered by the Gnu General Public License (GPL). This means the source code is available for download from the Bookeen web site.

The Gen3 comes loaded with a number of books from FeedBooks. The settings used to create these are given below. You'll find this template on the Custom PDF page from FeedBooks. Mobipocket support is also available.
