Cybook Gen3 is an electronic reader which uses e-ink technology. The newest version is called the Bookeen Cybook Gold Edition.

Overview

The Gen3 is a lightweight, minimalist eBook reader. It uses an E-Ink display. It has been supplanted with the Bookeen Cybook Gold Edition.

Features

Fonts: The Cybook allows you to add your own TTF fonts (some OTF fonts work, but are not officially supported), and gives you a choice of 12 font sizes to use (on all files except pdf). Your chosen font size will be saved.

DRM: Currently reads only Mobipocket DRM files. Encrypted Mobipocket ebooks are available from many sources, and can be borrowed through eBook Lending Libraries.

Software

The Cybook uses the Linux operating system which is covered by the Gnu General Public License (GPL). This means the source code is available for download from the Bookeen web site.
