[edit] Update

As of April 2019 this phone can now be used as a separate phone with its own phone number with expanded coverage as an Android phone. In addition to its expanded service capabilities, Palm says the new model has improved cameras and a software update that will extend battery life. Note that the existing phone cannot be upgraded but can be traded in for this new phone.

[edit] Overview

The Palm phone, also called the Palm-Palm is a pocket size phone with a 3.3" screen. Currently this is only available for Verizon phone service. Will sync with Android phones or iPhones. Shares the same phone number as the main phone. Price: $350, less with service contract currently on sale for $199 until May.

Runs Android 8.1, download you favorite apps. Use Google Assistant for one hand operation. Play music, create events, reply to texts, or get directions—using just your voice. Just double-press the side button to get started.

The Gesture Pad allows you to quickly search any shortcut on your Palm with a swipe of the finger from your lock screen. To display the Gesture Pad, swipe your finger up on the bottom drawer on the lock screen. This is reminiscent of the old Palm product. The unit is designed by many of the same people. Sketch a letter and a list of all apps starting with that letter will appear for selection. Uses a fleksy keyboard.
