WordPress is web software you can use to create a website or blog. This is free software.

[edit] Overview

The core software is built by hundreds of community volunteers, and when you’re ready for more there are thousands of plugins and themes available to transform your site into almost anything you can imagine. To use WordPress you need a web host that meets the minimum requirements and a little time.

There is also a service called WordPress.com which lets you get started with a new and free WordPress-based blog in seconds, but varies in several ways and is less flexible than the WordPress you download and install yourself.

[edit] ePub Plugin

EPub export automatically creates an ePub file when a post or page is published or updated. The ePubs are stored in the uploads directory. This plugin uses the PHP ePub class, the htmLawed library, and the STIX fonts.

[edit] Portable WordPress

  • WordPress for iOS is the app that lets you write posts, upload photos, edit pages, and manage comments on your blog from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. With support for both WordPress.com and self-hosted WordPress (2.92 or higher), users of all experience levels can get going in seconds.
  • WordPress for Windows phone 7 makes it easy to manage your blog or website while on the move. Writing and editing Posts and Pages is a breeze, as well as being able to quickly moderate comments and check statistics. And it's all made to get you in and out quickly.
  • WordPress for Android lets you write new posts for your WordPress blog, edit content, and manage comments with built-in notifications, all on your Android device.
  • WordPress for BlackBerry lets you post to your WordPress blog from your BlackBerry. Manage comments and media, upload videos and more with this BlackBerry native app.
