There is a bottom menu always present. The height of the menu is 30px. So in portrait mode the visible area is 825x1170px. Use this size for best result to trim/crop/resize your pdf files.
This was visually checked using a custom made pdf:

It is impossible to use the device for studing pdf files.
- In AdobeViewer the dictionary function does not work - In pdfviewer the highlight function (in the note menu) is not present
