[edit] Logos from Faithlife

Faithlife has some of its own apps which are specialized versions but any of the books for these apps can also be read using the Logos Desktop program which is available for MacOS and Windows. A Verbum Catholic oriented version of is also available.

[edit] Apps from Faithlife

In addition to Logos Mobile app there are several other apps from Faithlife that are available on both Android and iOS (for iPhones and older iPads) along with iPadOS for all recent iPads. These include:

  • Faithlife eBooks - Christian titles on any mobile device
  • Faithlife Curriculum - Group studies using mobile apps.
  • Faithlife TV - Christian TV and movies
  • Faithlife Proclaim - presentation software made for churches.
  • Faithlife Study Bible - A digital study Bible with trusted notes, can be paired with various translations
  • Bible screen - Stream beautiful Bible verse art on any screen, anytime. They also have a lock screen for windows that changes each time you power up.
  • Logos web app - Runs in your browser.
  • Verbum Catholic - software for studying the Catholic tradition but will also read all logos eBooks.
  • Biblia - Another web app that is very different from the Logos one. (This name is also used for the Spanish version of Logos Mobile app.)

Most of these apps are similar to the Logos Mobile app and the instructions for that app will work equally well with the Faithlife eBooks app and likely others as well. The eBooks are read by scrolling down on these apps. However this can be changed in settings. Your account will work to provide content for the various apps and will be usable on all. Note that the total books excludes most of the extra sample books described in the Logos Mobile app although the Verbum version has some different samples targeted at Catholics.

[edit] Why So Many Apps?

The following is directly from the Faithlife web site.

Each app is designed to meet the unique feature-needs of different customers while providing the same access to your resources. Install one, or install them all, just keep in mind that they all store their resource files separately.

  • Logos Bible is our powerful Bible Study app and counterpart to the Logos desktop software. It features a rich, academic study toolset. French and German languages are supported, based on the device’s language settings.
  • Verbum is our Catholic focused Bible study app, and counterpart to the Verbum desktop software. Features are nearly identical, with exception to some resource sets geared specifically toward our Catholic customers.
  • Biblia is the Bible app in Spanish. If you’re bilingual, you may wish to install both.
  • Faithlife Ebooks is our expansive ebook app for Faithlife ebooks, without all the extra study tools in the apps above.
  • Faithlife Study Bible includes three layers of study notes and connects your Bible Study to your Faithlife Community. It trades some of our more complex word-study tools for a broad social feature set.
  • Proclaim is the free presentation remote for Proclaim presenters. Please note, if you’re using Proclaim to present, this is the app for you. To follow someone else’s presentation, use one of the reader apps above.
  • Faithlife is our social-only app, providing additional Faithlife Community features for customers already using Logos, Verbum, or Biblia. (I need to find out more about this app. Any help appreciated.)

[edit] eBooks

The eBooks sold by Faithlife are available at multiple Faithlife sites including the Logos site. They can also be found at ebooks.faithlife.com. There is an attempt to feature different items at the various sites and some may even offer different free books and have different promotions. All the books will work on the various apps available. Some of the books are identified as eBooks. They are likely available from the Publisher in ePub format. They may be updated later when they have been indexed for searching.
